An entity is a thing that search engines and AI systems can identify unambiguously, such as a company, a person, a product or a place, independent of the words used to name it. “AISEOExpert.co”, “the AISEOExpert team” and “Agochar Tech’s SEO practice” are three strings; the entity is the one organization they refer to.

Why entities matter

Modern search and AI systems reason about things, not keywords. When a system is confident which entity a page is about, it can connect that page to the company’s other pages, its profiles and its founder, and describe the company correctly in a generated answer. When it is not confident, it may merge two similarly named companies or fall back to a competitor’s description.

How a site makes its entities clear

  • One canonical name and description, used identically everywhere.
  • An About page that states the facts once: legal name, founder, location, founding year, services.
  • Organization and Person structured data that matches the visible text, with sameAs links to the profiles that are genuinely about the same thing.

Our entity consistency tool compares a page’s schema with its visible text line by line.
